Urban Farm Camp
As the current times are constantly changing and uncertainty is at the forefront of our daily lives, Know Thyself School administration & staff have decided to provide limited education services and care. We will prioritize enrollment to families in the service industries and medical fields. We are focused on providing a safe and enriching environment for families with the high need of child care and enrichment.
Our spring program will focus of ecological sustainability and urban farming. Children will have the opportunity to learn a variety of these areas. Children will reside each day and assist in the operations of an urban farm, visit local parks, gardens and farms and learn more about our local community's agriculture. We encourage every child to get in touch with nature, take risks, have fun, make friends, and grow. With the support of staff, children have many opportunities throughout the week to choose from a variety activities and projects. Our multigenerational community allows for older and younger children to take on a role as a teacher and student simultaneously and to play and learn together. We look forward to meeting you at camp!
Health & Safety
Public health and safety are our highest priority. From our daily operations to local ordinances, we are committed to reducing the infection and spread of COVID-19. KTS will limit capacity to a maximum of 10 people until further allowance. All children must be symptom free of illness. Any child diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone diagnosed is unable to attend the program for 14 days and clearance from a doctor. Children vomiting or with a temperature over 100 degrees fahrenheit must wait 24 hours before they can return. There are two cats on site. Cats will be kept separate from all children, but residual fur is a risk for allergies. Please make note if your child or family member may have allergies to cat. We are a nut free facility.
